Starting the presentation there is a video that shows the instrument itself, how it is played or a brief description of the materials or even the history of the instrument, depending on the level.

We can elicit any doubt about the instrument and the materials from the students.

Session 1 – Manufacturing.
We arrange the class in teams of four pupils and start reading out the steps. After answering any doubt about the process so far, let’s review we have all the materials.
The teacher must prompt children to explain the troubles they may find and try to work them out.

Session 2 – Pupils’ presentation
Every pupil introduce to their classmates the instrument orally according to the questions template at the end of Genially presentation.

What is the name….?

Where does the instrument come from?

What materials is it made of?

How to play it?

Penny Lane

Activity shared by M.Consuelo Manchado. My project is a mural compound by different collages that students would do in teams. Those works represent all the scenes depicted in the song "Penny Lane", by The Beatles. A label with the extract of the lyrics would be displayed as well. This project should be devoloped both in the English and Art lessons, as there are some grammar structures to be taught and research to be done (apart from activities related to the lyrics itself). I think this song provides a good opportunity to learn some things about other cutures (in this case, the Brithish culture). It would be interesting to compare and contrast different features in our towns and theirs. For example, means of transport (the double-decker bus), red post boxes, police officers' helmet and uniform, how the queu at the bus stop... So many differences! Apart from that, in the project students will learn about the band itself, their members. It would be a good start...

The Carnival of the animals

THE CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS • In this activity the kids will listen four (or more) pieces of this beautiful musical work by Camille Saint-Saëns and make their pictures with them. You will need: - This link:  - A3 paper divided in four parts with a big cross and number them 1-4. - Pencils, crayons, markers… Instructions: - Put the photos of the animals you have choosen on the board. - Explain them, that we are in the jungle and we have to guess which animal is sounding in each moment and draw it the listening order in the paper. - Put the music of the four parts you have choosen and they have to make the pictures. When they have finished, they should explain their classmates what animal is in each square. For example: “I think that number one is…” As well you can ask them: “Do you think number one is a…? Yes, I do/No, I don’t”. Depending on the grade you use this activity. CAROLINA RUIZ FAVA
